How to Download PDF ebooks Free from PDF Search Engine

Author: Alex Smith

When Surfing on Yahoo, I found many people struggled with finding free E-books. Again and Again, I found the ebooks for them. Today I want to share my experience for finding and downloading free PDF ebooks from PDF search engines, so in this article, you can find some common PDF search sites which are convenient to use.

Search Free PDF E-books on http://www.book.google.com
Most people may think that Google Book is just an ebook store. In fact, with many colleges and publishers joining the Google Book project, now there are more than 2 million books, which can be read and downloaded for free, in Google Book.  1 million are "full preview" based on agreements with publishers. 1 million are in the public domain. Now learn how to read and download the free ebooks on Google Book.
1. Visit this site. Input the book name, author name or the keywords in search bar, click Search Books then you may find the list of the book you are looking for.

2. Not all of the books in the list are free, but you can filter the paid books. From the Showing drop down box, choose Full view only. The full view only books can be read or downloaded for free.

3. After you find the book, download it or view it online, or add to your library for further use.
Google Books for mobile is now available for Android and iPhone users. Google also offers more than 500,000 ebooks for free on Sony Reader

Using PDF Database http://www.pdfdatabase.com

The key feature of this PDF resource site is that it updates its database frequently. They upload about 20,000 files to the database every day.

Free Children ebook Download Site
If you are a nursery teacher or a parent, and you are searching for some children’s ebook, it is recommended to turn to Children’s book online. You can check out it for classic old children books. It's free, legal and it's a great cause.

Other sites to download PDF book, europeana, links to roughly 3 million digital objects including video, photos, paintings, audio, maps, manuscripts, printed books, and newspapers from the past 2,000 years of European history from over 1,000 archives in the European Union. Gallica from the French National Library links to about 800,000 digitized books, newspapers, manuscripts, maps and drawings, etc.

When downloading PDF files, make sure that we haven’t break the copyright law. Generally speaking, the books published before 1923 will enter the public domain. That means they are not under the copyright but the books published after 1923 are still under the copyright in US law.

How to increase my web site visitors for free?
I am running a small online business. My web site URL is http://www.BargainCollection.com. I have worked a lot and made too many changes to my store but I’m still getting less than 50 unique hits per day. My web site has been running for almost 1 year. I have automated Meta tags, search engine friendly URLs, keywords, description, monthly submission to more than 200 search engines, product feed to Froogle and Google site map. But still my visitors are less than 50 per day. I just want to know what is wrong in my web site and how can I get more visitors to my online store without paying for ads on different web sites. Thanks

That is a tough one. It is like pouring a glass of water in the ocean and hoping someone will find it. There are websites that will analyze your site for free and make suggestions about metatags so forth. The best thing is to make sure you do not have too much metatag info or web spiders for search engines will ignore your site.

You can do adwords for google and get ahead of everyone on certain keywords. But that is a pay option.

The best way is to use products like submission soft that bang away at over a million websites and ffa links. The more your site shows up the more it will rank with search engines. That software will evaluate your website as well and create doorway pages to help increase traffic.

    Search Engine Registration ???
I’m bit at sea about having my site displayed on search engines.

According to MediaPost following are the most popular search engines:

    > Google:- 48%
    > Yahoo:- 22%
    > MSN Search:- 11%
    > AOL:- 6.5%
    > Ask:- 5%

What is the difference between setting up a Keywords & Description i.e. META tags (I presume) and Search Engine Registration ???

Would the set Keywords & Description in itself make it possible to have a certain website displayed when search on a search engine (after all, search engine searches for the keywords set in META tag, I’d have thought).

Additionally, is there a difference in Search Engine Registration and Directory registration ???

Which search engines are worth registering our website in and how do I exactly go about doing so ? Right now, I’m interested in knowing FREE registration website, although I wouldn’t mind knowing if it’s REALLY worth paying for registering the website ?

Lastly, is it worth registering it MANUALLY or shall I use http://www.evrsoft.com/fastsubmit

    • Anonymous says:

I suppose what you called Search Engine Registration is the form provided by search engines to submit your URL. Well, it’s worth to try, but it can took months to get your website on search engines, especially Google and Yahoo. Good news is Google now has a service called Google Sitemaps. With that you can get listed in Google under 3 days. Check my sources, there is an article I wrote about it.

Setting Keywords & Description should be done before you submit it to search engines. No, keyword & description is not important anymore to get your website on search engine. Now search engines like Google is more interested in how many websites out there on the Internet which has a link to your website. To know more about it you can download my free ebook about search engine optimization.

The difference between search engines and directory registration is that directory registration is reviewed by real human, while search engines is by machine.

You can focus only on Google and Yahoo, but Yahoo is harder to beat. And don’t believe those paid services telling you they can submit on 1000+ search engines. Frankly, there are only about 200 of them, I suppose. The other may just a website full of links and can get your website blacklisted from the real search engines.

How to Submit website to Search Engines Effectively?
My company has a website, and we have already submitted it to search engines like Yahoo and Google for free. We have also included meta tags inside the Head section of all the pages. But half a year passed and our website is no where listed. Or rather say, when we search for keywords, our website is not listed. We can only find our website when we search for our url. The worse thing is at Google, when we search for our url, another company’s name appear. We tried e-mailing Google but there’s no answer. What can we do to improve the situation here?

First off, when adding your link to search engines, don’t stop at just the top ten or just five of them. I have a personal website and it is listed in over 1500 search engines. The question isn’t why the answer to it though is simple enough. Each direct link that you have coming into your site gives you a better chance at having a higher page rank. You see your page rank at:

      http://www.checkpagerank.com/

Page rank is calculated based on the importance of the website. Each link going into the website is a vote counted towards your page rank. It also helps to have higher page ranking websites link to your site as well.

In total the more links you have going to your site, the more importance your website has on the Internet as a whole.

Don’t stop. Keep submitting your links to every search engine that you can possibly find. If you need more help you can contact me if needed but I’m sure you can figure that out. Finding search engines to submit your site to is easy.

Find people who are willing to exchange links. Or, otherwise known as reciprocal linking. It’s best to find people willing to trade links with your site that are around the same area of expertise. Another words, you wouldn’t want to trade links with someone that has a website based off of tractor supplies when your website is based solely upon homeade fudge. If you had a food website, you would want more food websites linking to it.

To arrange all of your reciprocal links on your site, it’s best to make a page called ‘Links’ to put all the links on that page. Remember, it’s not only search engines that get your website listed at the top. Reciprocal linking is another part of that.

There are a lot of other gimics you can use to get links to your site, but to give a suggestion on how to start..

Think of it like this, people using the Internet are bugs or flies and your website is a spiderweb. You want to make the biggest spiderweb you could possibly make. There’s two major ways in doing that.

By word. Tell people and have them tell other people and have those people pass the word.
By links. Links are everything. People spend an average of 2 minutes per website when surfing, give or take that is an average amount of time. The more links you have coming into your website, the more people will acknowledge your website as value of importance.

To read more on page ranking you can go here for a vast amount of information. I believe that this page should have the answers to many questions you might still have.

Where can I find a tool which give me the position of my website on search engines in Australia?
I’m working on the search engine optimization of a website, and I need to know its position for several keywords on Yahoo, Google, Msn… on australian market. Does someone know a free tool or a website where I can find these information ?
    Thanks

This is my favorite tool for keyword ranking:

      http://www.prsearch.biz/

It works great for multiple keyword searches in Google and MSN, but you can only search Yahoo one keyword at a time. It also gives you link poularity in the big three, and a number of other tools.

  6. Tim J says:

Are the people running Google crooks?
I have used Google’s adwords for about a year now, even though I see my web-site increasing in ranking on most other search engines (1st-5th page depending on keywords searched) it is not listed anywhere on Google for any keywords.
I feel they are purposely not allowing my web-site to come up on their free search because I pay for adwords. This is pi**ing me off. Please correct me if I am wrong, they sure won’t tell me.
I appreciate your answer Scott, but I need to be more specific. I am on an seo optimization plan and it has worked for all search engines: yahoo, msn, lycos, etc, yet it seems to have no effect with Google. I am thinking they have control over what is shown on the, as you say, organic search results, and do not allow my site to come up because I pay to be on their adwords.

    • Anonymous says:

As it has been said, Google’s natural listings are not affected by your participation in Google’s pay-per-click program at all. And being optimized for Yahoo, Lycos, etc means nothing for your positioning in Google. For one, Google bans you for using ‘blackhat’ methods, so perhaps you are victim to bad SEO techniques. First check to see if you are listed in Google by using the search site:http://www.yourdomain.com. If there are NO results, then you are not indexed at all. Use Google’s toolbar to determined if you are banned (pagerank will come up greyed out (NOT all white, as in 0/10 ranking– I mean greyed out). If you are banned from Google for bad SEO methods, you have a long uphill battle to correct (most people just start over).

If you are just badly ranked/positioned and want to learn how to improve in Google, learn from the horse’s mouth- Google WebMaster Help Center (url below).

Overture gives keyword traffic data for Yahoo. Does anyone know of a free tool for Google that does the same?
The facts are in from unbiased, 3rd party research groups and the majority of searches on the web are done via Google. I have had great success with search engine traffic due to free information from Overture’s Keyword Search Tool. Of course there are many searches done on Google that are also done on Yahoo. For instance: If “widget” had 1,738 searches through Yahoo; Google on the other hand might have had 8,867 searches for “widget”. In this case, “widget” goes from being of medium importance to maybe being the central focus of SEO for my site.

All internet entrepreneurs, like my self, that practice effective SEO, could really, seriously use a tool like Overture for Google. If anyone knows of a free tool like this PLEASE let me know.

The problem I have with alot of the software out there is that it simply pulls keywords from related site’s meta tags. I mean c’mon I can do that myself!

I am looking for a keyword search tool. Can anyone help me?
A few years ago I worked with my father in search engine placement. There was a free online tool that helped us out a lot.
You would basicly type the keyword and hit submit and it would tell you how many times this particular keyword was searched for in the top 10 most popular search engines. Now I have been looking for a couple days and all I seem to find are payed downloads. Not really what I am looking for. This site was free. I just dont remember the name of it anymore. It has been a long time. If you know of such a program that is free and online without downloading please let me know…. Thanks for your help.

how do I get my web page to appear in search engine listings?
When someone types the name of our club into a search window the web page we have does not appear. How can I get our web page listed? Is this only available if we purchase a keyword or two or can it be done for free?

    • Anonymous says:

Firstly you should make a keyword analysis and after that you should optimize your site for that particular keyword which is known as onpage optimization. To make externel linkings, you have to post your site to directories and take backlinkings from other websites.

The second option is to hire a search engine optimizer or consult some good seo company for that.

what free webhost support meta tag and when someone use search engine, my site will be listed?
I need to know if use free webhost dont get listed in search engine ? Even i put meta tags keywords in the page

    • Anonymous says:

Meta tags plays a role in helping SE understand more of your page, but pages do get listed without the common meta tags.

The more important factor for new pages to be listed is to be found on other already listed pages (i.e. having other popular pages mentioning your new page is a plus point to get listed quickly in SEs), or manual submission to the search engines do help getting SE bots to visit your site.

However, that is not the only factor for pages to be listed and de-listed, there are still many other factors involve.

SEO is a wide and ever changing topic, you may want to continue updating through forums like :-

      http://www.sitepoint.com
      http://www.webmasterworld.com
      http://www.seochat.com

      Hope that helps.

I have an auction website: free-auctions.net. When I first set it up it was doing extremely well in the search engines between #2-7 for my keywords. I just recently changed the entire layout of the website and added new services, about 2 months ago. Ever since I made the changes my rankings went from #2 down to # 250 for my keywords. I am using the same keywords and have the same text throughout the website. Why do the search engines not like my site anymore? The script is written in perl.

Unfortunately nothing in this world is free. Google and Yahoo command huge market shares and there is only one reason why they have vast volumes of cash and that is because we all give them advertising revenues.

That said nearly all the main pay per click search engines do offer an introductory offer (maybe $50-$100) but after that you have to pay.

A website or tool that has a chart function would be great especially.

    • Anonymous says:

There are various software programs such as “Gold” and others which do not truly address proper design and implementation of SEO metatags. The following article should prove helpful to you at this time.

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
      Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
      very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
      at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, “Who’s my end user – is he on dialup or
DSL?” And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
      is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

      Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the “Title” metag which
should consist of no more than 60 characters separated
by commas. The “Title” should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the “Title” is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the “Description” which is
usually up to 41 words to form a complete paragraph which
best describes one’s goods and services. It is not merely a list.

And the very last category – “Keywords” are also
somewhat limited to 15 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as “spamdexed entries” which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
“Spamdexing” when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
      directory.

Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on
Google.com: Begin with the very “generic” search query
“sandwiches downtown los angeles,” taking note to not
abbreviate Los Angeles to “LA” and of course, leave
out the parentheses (“). It will bring up some 2.4
million+ search results. Check out where “Nazos.net”
is ranked. It’s on the SECOND FRONT [ranked 15]!
Again, Nazos.net’s high web presence was achieved by
proper web design and placement of relevant metatags
      according to Google’s publication guidelines.

      Good luck!

Search engine algorithms have varying levels for keyword density required for top ranking. Generally a density of 3-5% is reasonable. If you go above that the algorithms may toss it out as spam. For determining keywords check out these free sites: Textalyser, and LiveKeyWordAnalysis (links below). Also look at Google adwords to see how often certain keywords are being searched on.

One of the factors is the number of links that point to your site from other sites. If you post a contribution to a Google Groups forum (for example) and place your URL somewhere in the body, that will get the job done. The better the contribution, the longer the link will remain available because good posts get snatched up as content on other sites. It works on any social network that makes user posts visible in the public spectrum.

Let me try it here to see if Google picks up my site’s link from Yahoo Answers:

RSS feeds don’t work because they don’t pull info into my reader until 11 a.m. – rather than 5 (they are posted around 4:30ish) – so I end up searching 25 websites and relying on some not so great search engines to find what I need by 7. Alerts are even slower.

Free Google/Yahoo customized search engines don’t cut it because it can’t be resorted by the last 24-hours – so I
end up inputting keywords into each site or eyeballing copy.

    I can’t start any earlier.

    Help!

    Custom Automatic Search Engine?
Is there a free search engine service out there that will automatically search a for a particular keyword on a particular site, and send me an email alert when that keyword is found?

For example, I’d like to set it up to where Craigslist is automatically searched for a particular keyword, say… “graphic design” and whenever someone posts a post on Craiglist that has the words Graphic Design in the post, I’ll receive an email with a notification that a new post has been posted with those keywords.

I know eBay has a service like this for their auctions, and it’d be nice if there was a (free) search option for any website I wanted.

Yahoo and Google have customized Search Engines, that kind of speak to this, but from what I can tell (and maybe I’m missing something), it won’t send automatic notifications….. You have to actively type in the keywords and press search – it doesn’t do the continuously for you.

Concept is kind of like having your own personal web crawler.

Look up ‘Google API’. You’ll need a free developer key.
Google supports searches within a specific domain. IN this case, Craigs list.
In order to automate searches, you can either go to Google, run the search then copy the URL. This will allow you to create a script file that can be run by your Windows Task manager. The script file can be Java or VB script. Pretty easy to mock up. Now that I think of it, you may not need a Google developer API key if you can create the URL from the search at Google itself.
Many ideas out there but to answer your question, it can be done. Yes.

ANd theres more: CraigsList has RSS feeds. THis is great because you can consume those feeds in an application. There are certain metatags that can describe when feeds were posted, meaning you can determine if it is a new feed.
The point is, you need to know CraigsList rss feed information which is as simple as going there and searching for RSS.

SEO majority is backlink and keywords. As per you mentioned that you are using the right keywords, then you shall increase the keyword density if possible. Besides, you do link exchange, and you need to ensure your link is dofollow, else it wouldnt help much.

On the other hand, i will suggest you go for dofollow forum posting and dofollow blog commenting which is the easy way to build link and help your PR & SERP

Through advertising. When you search for something, for example, “pet health” there may or may not be a yellow box at the top of the search resaults with 3 – 4 resaults. These spaces are sold by google to other companies and are displayed are the top of the resaults when you search for certain keywords.

The ads are also displayed along the right hand side.

After an initial review of your SEO metatags, it appears that you need some revisions in order to elevate your web presence on major seach engines, such as Google. com and Yahoo.com.

      Begining with:

      1. The metatag contains entries which assumes that your domain name/business name is a well-known brand and if that is not the case, why not leave the domain name out of the . And having a business locator of “Philadelphia region,” is not specific enough. Why is the actual city of “Trevose” not referenced?</p> <p>Here’s an improved </p> <p>2. The keywords metatag: Insert the keyword “Trevose.”</p> <p>Once you incorporate these suggestions into your opening webpage, you will notice a major increase in Net traffic since again, most customers are very likely to search for your business under a specific business locator, i.e., “Trevose, Pennsylvania” and not waste time looking for a “Pennsylvania region” business.</p> <p>Good luck!

Very interesting Search Engine Optimization observation: Keywords?
After using the free Google Adwords key tool on https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal I noticed that some queries were incredibly interesting or possibly way off. For instance, set the match type to EXACT as opposed to BROAD and type in the following type of query and see what happens,
“City” Homes for sale vs “City” “State Abreviation” homes for sale as in …

[Chicago Homes For Sale] vs [Chicago il homes for sale]
[san francisco homes for sale] vs [san francisco ca homes for sale]

This occurs for every other city state combo. Why?

The results that this generates is unreal, literally I think. Please explain. Ten points, and much gratitude from me.

    • Anonymous says:

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
      Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
      very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical SEO metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
      at Google and Yahoo.

      Placement of SEO Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the “Title” metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The “Title” should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the “Title” is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the “Description” which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – “Keywords” are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as “spamdexed entries” which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
“Spamdexing” when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
      directory.

      Good luck!

Google is pretty restrictive on what you can do with their search interface. I’d recommend contacting Google directly though for licensing concerns. No matter how we answer it here, would you trust your business on it? I’m guessing your lawyers will cringe if you say yes.

FYI, we looked at federating Google with a search application we purchased and contacted Google about licensing access. They have various price levels (think it started at $15,000 for the smallest option)

I would be very grateful if you could, please, tell me where can I find a tool where I insert a keyword, or just part of it, then get a huge list of keywords and key phrases related to that keyword – so I can click it and have it queried in whatever engine I want.

    Thank you in advance.

p.s. I already tried free Google keyword tool and I am not very satisfied with it.

Why is Google deindexing my web pages?
The site is less than a month old, it had 70% pages indexed in Google a week ago. Yesterday, there are 60% indexed pages, but now only 50% of the pages are indexed..

    Is it normal?

Yes it is very normal. You have to be active on promoting your site all the time to keep it in the loop. Make sure you have a tool to track and monitor all your seo stats automatically.
